Where are lessons?

You can either come to me at LifePointe Church (900 E Prospect Rd), or I can travel to you for an $5 fuel and travel charge.

Question 3

What age is good to start voice lessons?

You can start at almost any age! I will be happy to teach anyone from 6 to 106, but lessons will look quite different for those two students. Vocal health is very important, so I make sure to teach in an age appropriate way. For example, younger students will start out with learning about breath, posture, matching pitch, rhythms, etc. but won't be asked to imitate mature voices, as this can strain or injure young voices in the long run.Feel free to email me to discuss this further! wecansingmusiclessons@gmail.com

Do you teach on weekends and evenings?

Yes! I teach on several weekday evenings and on Saturdays. Head to the booking page to see when I'm available and find a time that works for you.

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Cancellations with at least 24 hours warning can be rescheduled. Cancellations after that are subject to a charge of 50% the original price of the lesson. No-shows will be charged the full price of the lesson. If I have to cancel for any reason you will not be charged!

Question 6

Can I pick my own music?

We'll work on a mix of songs that you choose and ones that I assign with a particular goal in mind. I generally won't veto a song unless I think it could be harmful to your voice. For example, it could be harmful for a 10 year old student to sing an opera aria. But it's important that you get to sing music that inspires you!

What should I bring to lessons?

Water, a pencil, your music, and your lovely self! If you need anything else, I'll let you know before your lesson or I will provide it.

What if I don't know how to read music?

No worries! I can teach you. In fact, we can work on all kinds of music theory stuff along with our singing if that interests you. Reading music is like any other skill. It takes some practice, but it's definitely doable, and you won't have to figure it out on your own.

Can you help me prep for my All-State/Honor Choir audition?

Absolutely! We can work on your solo piece, practice sight reading and ear training exercises, and if you get in I can even help you learn the music!

When/how do I pay for lessons

Accepted Answer

You can pay online when you book, or when you get to your lesson with cash, card, or check made out to Anna Bonjour.You can also pay for up to 3 months of lessons in advance. Just let me know that you'd like to do that, and we can work out the details.
