Performing
Anna is from Fort Collins, Colorado where she received her undergraduate degree in Vocal Performance from Colorado State University. During her time there she performed with the Ralph Opera Program with roles in several productions including the Second Lady in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Mrs. Anderssen in Sondheim's A Little Night Music, and the understudy for the title role in Handel's Serse. She joined the program for the ensembles of Vaughan Williams' Riders to the Sea, Gluck's Orfeo, Strauss' Die Fledermaus, and Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro. She has been proud to sing with Colorado State University's Concert Choir and to participate in the Music in the Museum series at the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art. She has also been a part of benefit concerts for local nonprofits.
She has found success in competitions, placing fifth in her category at the West Central Region National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) student auditions in 2017, and Second in the Colorado and Wyoming NATS student auditions in 2018. She also won the Most Improved award in Colorado State University's 2018 Singer of the Year competition.
Teaching
Anna began teaching privately in 2017 and finds immense joy in sharing the knowledge she has gained and helping others to sing joyfully in pursuit of their musical goals. She worked as a Graduate Assistant with Centennial Children's Chorus for seven years. This experience developed a joy for working with children which she hopes to continue pursuing through private teaching. She loves teaching students of all ages!
